Outfit Three

It's getting closer to festival season and the summer is almost here...Fingers crossed bring out the BBQ! So today I've put together a summery-ish outfit. Found in my favourite shop Primark, there are now more colour ways and patterns available (I nearly bought one in a peachy pink one with a different print the other day!) Perfect with leggings and pumps, jeans or shorts for festivals, although it does bellow in the wind like ships sail!?

The Outfit:

Long vest top with feather print - Primark £9.99 I think but don't hold me to it, bit on the more expensive side but I'm finding Primark are getting more expensive!

Black strap top - H&M they always have a vest top or two normally under £5 in a wide range of colours.

White Shorts - Zara £20 I bought these last year and lived in them all last summer so can't remember the exact price. Careful though they need a lot of washing otherwise they turn a bit grey.

Could be worn with leggings from Primark £2.98 and pumps or sandals. I wear it with my gladiator sandals I got from Topshop last year for £25 and they have lasted a year and a bit and are very comfy. However Peacocks are selling some for £10 and there quite nice and of course primark have some going cheap too. Wear with big bangles, big earrings and head to the festivals.

Outfit Two

This week has been a good week for stripy dresses a bit nautical. While looking on Facebook I saw a girl wearing a long t-shirt dress very stripy so went on a scouting out mission. Found one in Topshop for £20!! bit expensive for a t-shirt dress, then on the off chance found one in Look magazine available at New Look. So off I popped in after work and found it blue and white stripy dress £8 and it was a special student offer day with 20% available so the dress cost... a barganious £6.40!
(had to put a happy pic up as had comments I didn't look happy enough before)
The Outfit:
Stripy T-Shirt dress - New Look £8, £6.40 on special student event days.

Leggings - Primark £3 they have more colours available now and pretty ones with lace around the ankles. Only problem they sit half way down your bum until your wash them!

I would wear this outfit with my other new purchase gold pumps £8 from Primark, and a selection of bangles I have collected from various places Bershka, Primark, H&M and the odd charity shop over the past months. Primark have some at the moment for only £1.50 good for quick trends but again good to keep for next summer. Another bargain this week was my earrings only £2 in the sale at New Look.

Outfit One

This the first week of the blog I have kept it simple and gone with the outfit I am wearing at the moment as its easy, casual and to hand.

It's my casual but fashiony outfit. I wear it when I go to the hairdressers a lot cause I always feel I have to dress up there.

The Outfit:

Gray cardigan - Stolen from my boyfriend's wardrobe floor but initially from Topman. Good for slouching.

Dark gray cardigan - Zara £19.99, customised with buttons on each cuff.

Floral Shirt - Matalan £8, I bought this after loving the Luella shirts she did last S/S and this was a fraction of the price

Stonewashed light denim jeans - Zara £19.99, yes the jeans are the same as my cardigan! they have zipped ankles, are a perfect summer jean as they aren't as heavy as normal jeans and can be rolled up or opened at the ankle for summery days.

I would wear this outfit with my black and white brogues or brogue look a likes, £20 from Faith or my flowery pumps from Office Girl.

Student Fashion

I am a fashion Student living in Derby, technically one of the cheapest student towns in the UK. Although we've just had a new shopping center built and I'm tempted by the ever changing window displays and trends laid out in every fashion tabloid, I can never afford to change my wardrobe. So I tend to shop for things I like, that are quirky or that I know I'm going to wear.

This blog has come about from reading fashion mags attempt at "credit crunch shopping" where you can find a Marc Jacobs bag for around £100 in stead of £500... Brilliant but I'm never going to afford a £100 bag on my monthly budget! They say shop for classics, get this Channel tweed twin piece only £800 brilliant its a classic I agree, but again WAY out of my price bracket! So I thought I'd write about the bargains I've found recently and not so recently to give you a heads up of the best bargains around.
