Outfit Sixteen - Sorry its been a While!

As I said sorry its been a while the first few weeks being thrown into Uni have been a little hectic to say the least but now I have a timetable of studying - yes a timetable! Its getting better! Last night was the Topshop 20% evening and the credit crunch shopper was spotted as street style for their facebook page! woop! This weeks outfit is a simple summer dress but dressed up and layers for those winter cold months that have suddenly hit!

The Outfit:

Dress - Topshop £45 but with 20% off £36 (I think thats right? Maths isn't my strong point!) I'm thinking of this dress like my other flowery dress so I am expecting ALOT of wear out of it throughout the winter months!

Navy Cardi - £19.99 from Zara I bought it to replace my old one and haven't really worn it until this year! Mainy due to the fact Ashleigh is wearing tons of navy and its rubing off on me! I too want a little nauticalness in my life!!

I would wear this dress with mayb a vesty top underneath as it has little capped sleeves, or a long sleeved top in black or white or any colour from the dress. Thick tights or tights and sock are a MUST for winter teamed with big black over the kneww boots - perfect for Autumn/winter! Chuck on an enourmous bag like mine £9 Primark its HUGE and can fit tons in it but it does squeek as its new and plastically however Rhi has the same one from last year in brown and now hers is all floppy! this is the aim!

Outfit Fifteen

This week a bit of heritage and autumn winter styling going on. I wear this dress a lot in winter as its so simple to add warm layers too such as long tops under or super thick woolly tights. Add boots bag and off you go. It can be teamed with a bit of sparkle for a night out too.

The Outfit:

Dress - £20ish Primark last year tho. Doesn't mean I'm going to stop wearing it this year.

Team this outfit with leggings £3 from Primark, vest underneath if preferred and big wintry boots £15 Primark. Perfect for the heritage trend this A/W.

Outfit Fourteen

This week it was getting a little cloudy little cold then woke up this morn and low and behold its glorious sunshine so on went the sandals and out came the dresses! However it is almost the beginning of University once more and so I decided to go completely art student for my outfit this week!! bit grunge!

The Outfit: (the sleepy just woken up look)

Cardigan - Ebay yellowjelly £16 vintage old Lady cardigan very lovely though and rather warm! I plan on chucking it on over anything and everything in winter to waken up those dull and drab days!!

Stripy Top - Zara £15ish I bought it last year but its lovely! stripy tops are everywhere this season and there so easy to wear. Forget the horizontal stripe makes u large and just go with it! chuck on with a large a line shortish skirt or jeans and off you pop!

Jeans - Topshop as before £40

I have teamed this today with a large belt I got inspiration from Carri Bradshaw in SATC the movie but they have ALOT of these belts about this year everywhere!! but more studded mine was from Matalan. Teamed with arty flowery pumps from Office and a vintagy leather bag £2.50 from Oxfam!

Outfit Thirteen

Outfit Thirteen unlucky for some! What's with all the rain it was chucking it down in Dublin and then stopped and the sun came out just as we got on the plan! Only to touch down in Manchester in a downpour again!! Therefore I have decided to do a rainy day teamed outfit this week so we aren't all prisoners in our lovely dry warm houses and we can venture out into the monsoon season?!

The Outfit:

The Mac - H&M last year but apparently lots of people had it at Leeds so they may have another bath for this year? plus I bought this after I saw a girl wearing a black and white version so they are bound to have other designs! Plus its rather warm and cosy when zipped up.....Plus if its not raining too much you don't need an umbrella!!!

Jeans - £40 Topshop I live in these though!

Shoes - £15 Primark in Liverpool last week!! there very comfy though there like high heeled slippers?! I haven't actually walked to town in them yet tho so that will be the test!

Team this with electric blue driving gloves for chilly hands £6 from Primark or wellies or flats. My friend Becky got some amazing wellies that are black with pink spots on in Matalan last week and they have matching socks available too!! But all in all this really is just weather for ducks?!

Outfit Twelve

Today is almost the start of August Bank Holiday. Festival goers are off to Leeds, Reading and Cream fields and some of us are off on a girly weekend to Dublin! Today I feature an outfit that can be dressed up for the office, down for the summer or add a bit of sparkle for the evening! It really is a dress for any occasion. I got this dress in New york sorry everyone however the accessories are all UK! I got it after my mum spotted a few girls wearing it around Soho when we finally found the store it was a must have. I then wore it home on the plane and the scary USA police security airport checker lady said after check I was who I say I am nice dress! - Ace!

The Outfit:

White dress with navy embroidery - As I said from a shop in New York $19.99 however they have a very similar style of t-shirt dress in topshop at the moment which I also wanted to buy.

Cardigan - New York as well I am afraid however the style is all around at the moment so I'm very sure you could pick a similar one up from Zara.

I have teamed this dress with long boots with a tassel at the back £15 from Primark! Got them in Liverpool on Tuesday, you could also wear heels the strappy ones are a small heel perfect for me as I topple over on anything higher! these were from River Island and were a birthday present so they were a little of the steep side at £45 roughly but they still have them in store atm I checked the other day. Don't forget to finish the look off with a snazzy bag this bright pink one was £6 from Primark and it can be a clutch or it has a chain strap! The earrings were on sale in miss selfridges £2.50!

Outfit Eleven

This week it was Julia's birthday and Amanda confronted me at her party asking for outfits from only a certain number of shops and listed them as these are shops they have on the isle of Mann. Amanda I hope you have Topshop as it's a Topshop themed outfit this week!
I've had this dress for a few months and I wear it a hell of a lot. Well worth the money I paid for it as you can dress it up and down with jeans, leggings, tshirts, jackets - Amazing and bang on trend!

The Outfit:

Flower Print Dress - £40 Topshop yes a bit steep for a credit crunch shopper however I have worn it practically twice every week since I bought it I'm never out of the thing! So it works out ok!

Leggings - £3 Primark can't go wrong with a but of Primarni!

T-shirt - £4 from H&M I like H&M for basic tee's there super there so cheap you can have one in every colour!

I would put this outfit together with SUPER high shoes (please note I cannot walk far in these they are BEAUTIFUL though and I could stare at them all day long) these were Topshop a birthday present this time. You could also just add pumps £8 from Primark and there really comfy. Throw on a satchel and off you pop!

Thursday 13 August 2009

Outfit Ten

This outfit is a little prim and proper so I may take the hem up a little to make it a little more wearable. I do feel about 4 years old in this dress but its quite sweet. Also its ace as it holds you in in all the right places even when you've eaten wayyyyyy to much! Suitable to wear with or without a top underneath too. Perfect for picnics.

The Outfit:

Green Pinafore Dress - I got mine from Topshop a few years ago however they sold it in a cheap shop next to mcDonalds too?! Chose this outfit as it can be made into something suitable to wear today even though its a little old. Recycling!

Big Gold Earrings - H&M £1.99 bargain however I was dancing in them the other day (rather wildy) and one flew across the dance floor and I had to scramble around for it - sticky knees lovely!

Add a blazer or cardigan especially for that librarian look!! Chic librarian! Gold pumps, or gold sandals and big satchel bag!
Whalaa complete..

Everyone should check out Theuniformproject.com this girl is wearing one dress for 365days obviously she has 7 of the same dress for washing purposes, but she accessories and adds clothing to it each day to create a new look and its all about recycling and reusable fashion.

Outfit Nine

Something a bit sparkly this week. When I wear this top people do comment mainly on how sparkly I am! A walking disco ball! I had to get this top after walking past it for 4 weeks to get to my placement and just falling in love with the sparkle! However in the shop they had it displayed backwards which is how I wear it as the other way around its very low and isn't as spectacular! It also has the most amazing Shoulder pads in the world!!

The Outfit:

Sparkly Top - £24.99 from a vintage shop in Nottingham. However I have spied some very similar in much more subtle tones in Topshop this season.

Black Mini - £20 from Zara another brilliant buy its a little like a bubble skirt and I wore it constantly in winter even if it is a little short its just more space to show off coloured tights.

I also wear this top with blue jeans £40 Topshop but it can be teamed with anything you fancy really. In winter I may experiment with layers underneath. However it is a little baggy for wearing under things so it may just be a special occasion top. Team with sparkly bag ASOS and disco shoes to match Office!! or just tone it down if you please!

Outfit Eight

Its been a while to say the east since my last post this is mainly due to my 21st birthday, moving house and a holiday to New York. But its back for the 8th week with a superb outfit featuring some finds in New York its self.

The Outfit
:

(Scary pic!)

White Shirt with Bow Tie at Neck - H&M last summer £20 I bought this top towards the end of summer last year and have worn it tons since. It makes a smart daytime and evening look, perfect when going from work to the pub.

Black 3/4 Sleeve Cardigan - Bought in New York for $20 really good for wearing under a blazer as you can't see the sleeves but still have the warmth. It does have weird long bits at the front however I can wrap these round myself.

Black 3/4 Sleeve Blazer - I have been looking for a blazer for ages! Got this bargin in New York for £30!! its a little thin but still very super. At the moment there are alot in the sale at Zara for abut the same price.

Blue Jeans - Topshop £40 they fit really nicely though as you can buy the correct lenght and waist size.

I would wear this with little black and white pumps, or gold pumps shown in previous weeks £8 Primark. Team with bag/sachual I got mine from Urban Outfitters not exactly cheap but a treat is always lovely!

Thursday 25 June 2009

Outfit Seven

This week has been a busy one but at last the blog is on time! I looked back over the last six weeks and noticed I have done hardly anything other than dresses?! So this week Have gone for another summery look which I wore to the Cheshire show on Wednesday. Apologies for the face just come back from the dentist and my lip is huge!

The Outfit:

Zebra stripy top - This was a shopping gift from Topshop not really a credit crunch bargain top at £24.99 however it has the same shape as the t shirts with open arm holes however there sewn up so I'm not flashing my bra to everyone and thing.

Shorts - Zara £19.99 I think I wore them in outfit three, bought last year but stood the test of time bit are a little see through. However my sister has some very similar from H&M and there are fab can't see a thing through them!

I am wearing this outfit with bit earrings from Primark I love these and they were about £2 but I have worn them so much there fab. As its summer and scorching hot now (in places) I would get my gladiator sandals on or maybe gold pumps for an evening pub trip. As always team with massive bangles or a big gold necklace? It doesn't really need much as the pattern is so much.

This outfit also looks ace with blue or black jeans and denim shorts.

Friday 19 June 2009

Outfit Six

This week its another late post however I have bene moving house and preparing for a birthday extravaganza! I saw this dress the week before and love the hankerchief type hem and how its bunched up in paces its fab! Its also available in blue and was a steal at £15 hurrah for Primari.

The Outfit
:

Cotton/Linen Dress - £15 Primark also available in blue only problem with it is the zip as the elastic around the middle pulls it apart!

Leggings - £3 Primark always a bargin if a little see through.

With this I would wear another of the bargins I found this week, HUGE hoop earrings. They were £1.99 from H&M but I think there rather cool. I think I'd add lots of bangles and a gold neckalce too, however everything is in boxes at the moment as I'm moving house in the next few weeks! Team with some gladiator sandles for an instant summer BBQ or shopping spree.

Thursday 11 June 2009

Outift Five

This week I have gone for a bit of a jungle theme, in the garden with zebra-y printed dress. I will describe it to you first as I described it to Julia before buying it "zebra print with lots of multi colours behind them! its ace!" I saw a girl wearing it the other day and thought it was a fab summer dress to be worn with anything for any occasion! This outfit was nominated for outfit five by Amanda!

The Outfit

Wild dress

Zebra Print dress - £14.99 from H&M in stores now I only bought this last weekend. First time I wore it I did put a small cami top underneath in black as it was a little on the boob side for the office!

I would wear this with vintage look shoes £17.99 from Primark VERY expensive for there!!! or possibly gold flats, the ring in the picture is Aqua and from Topshop and was a gift but I think its was £9.99 but you can much cheaper ones all around the highsreet now, and the big hoopy earrings are from Primark last year and I have worn them TONS since buying them. Add a fringed bag or clutch for a summery evening fringed bag from Primark £4.

Friday 5 June 2009

Outfit Four

Day late this week, due to the end of degree fashion show last night. Which was amazing got my a little scared for next year! This outfit is what I wore to the fashion show, sadly though I couldn't wear heels as I walked for half an hour into town and the streets around my house are very unforgiving! So for the entire night I was a midget compared to everyone in their killer heels. Walking into to town for the show at 5:30pm I got a few odd looks as I was a little dressed up. The outfit is really simple but I always feel very fashiony and arty in it, winner!

The Outfit:

Long t-shirt top - My mum bought this for me as the student budget doesn't always stretch I think it was £19.99 from Zara, but its lovely. Bit see-through so I wear a white top underneath.

Leggings - Primark £2.98 bargain now I've worn them a few time they have stretched and now no longer sit half way down my bum!

I wore this with my little gold pumps £8 from Primark, but you could always wear it with killer heels or pumps. I have two necklaces on a cluster of gold chains, stolen from my sister but she got them from Primark a while ago. I've seen a few in Miss selfridges but the're £20!!! and the other pearly necklace which I love I feel a bit Chanel is from Topshop last year I think this was under £10. Its snapped once but been re-threaded! Phew! You always ditch the necklaces and show off the print and just add big earrings! I also took a small clutch from ASOS which was a Christmas present and wahoo away I went.

Thursday 28 May 2009

Outfit Three

It's getting closer to festival season and the summer is almost here...Fingers crossed bring out the BBQ! So today I've put together a summery-ish outfit. Found in my favourite shop Primark, there are now more colour ways and patterns available (I nearly bought one in a peachy pink one with a different print the other day!) Perfect with leggings and pumps, jeans or shorts for festivals, although it does bellow in the wind like ships sail!?

The Outfit:

Long vest top with feather print - Primark £9.99 I think but don't hold me to it, bit on the more expensive side but I'm finding Primark are getting more expensive!

Black strap top - H&M they always have a vest top or two normally under £5 in a wide range of colours.

White Shorts - Zara £20 I bought these last year and lived in them all last summer so can't remember the exact price. Careful though they need a lot of washing otherwise they turn a bit grey.

Could be worn with leggings from Primark £2.98 and pumps or sandals. I wear it with my gladiator sandals I got from Topshop last year for £25 and they have lasted a year and a bit and are very comfy. However Peacocks are selling some for £10 and there quite nice and of course primark have some going cheap too. Wear with big bangles, big earrings and head to the festivals.

Thursday 21 May 2009

Outfit Two

This week has been a good week for stripy dresses a bit nautical. While looking on Facebook I saw a girl wearing a long t-shirt dress very stripy so went on a scouting out mission. Found one in Topshop for £20!! bit expensive for a t-shirt dress, then on the off chance found one in Look magazine available at New Look. So off I popped in after work and found it blue and white stripy dress £8 and it was a special student offer day with 20% available so the dress cost... a barganious £6.40!
(had to put a happy pic up as had comments I didn't look happy enough before)
The Outfit:
Stripy T-Shirt dress - New Look £8, £6.40 on special student event days.

Leggings - Primark £3 they have more colours available now and pretty ones with lace around the ankles. Only problem they sit half way down your bum until your wash them!

I would wear this outfit with my other new purchase gold pumps £8 from Primark, and a selection of bangles I have collected from various places Bershka, Primark, H&M and the odd charity shop over the past months. Primark have some at the moment for only £1.50 good for quick trends but again good to keep for next summer. Another bargain this week was my earrings only £2 in the sale at New Look.
